Eastbourne Old Town wall
Eastbourne’s old town boasts a great number and variety of traditionally constructed stone walls.
The substantial mass behind one such wall had overcome the walls capacity to retain and over time the wall had begun to loom perilously over the public footpath.
Working for C.J.Thornes Engineers a large section was demolished and a reinforced concrete wall instated. The Flintwall Company then returned to clad the concrete with the flints and bricks that were previously reclaimed from the demolition.
